Scotch & Soda unveils Dutch Wool collection
More and more brands are focusing on using sustainable materials these days and while that often means special technology to create circular processes for recycling fibres, there’s also a move towards more locally-sourced materials.
And that’s being seen in one key area — wool. Scotch & Soda is the latest in a number of companies to release a collection using local wool and said it’s continuing its “journey towards integrating more Dutch wool into its supply chain with a limited-edition unisex capsule collection, all made from 100% Dutch wool”.
The offer features a unisex cardigan, vest, beanie and scarf – made together with the Knitwit Stable using locally sourced wool and alpaca yarn.
Knitted in Italy, all items in the capsule feature a specially designed artwork and are made with 100% natural, undyed yarns from 80% Kempen Heath sheep and 20% Alpaca that graze in the Netherlands.
The news comes just days after Filippa K
The company has been launching a new sweater design made from Swedish wool each year since 2019 and with it being an award-winning supply chain initiative and is continuing the eco focus for AW22 too.
