Asphaltgold acquired by The Athlete’s Foot parent
Asphaltgold, one of the leading streetwear online shops for sneakers and streetwear clothing in Europe, is joining The Athlete’s Foot (TAF) portfolio of brands, effective immediately.
Founded in 2008, Asphaltgold offers various lifestyle accessories and streetwear for men and women rooted in an appealing aesthetic, but also in high-quality apparel pieces and a conscious production.
Under the leadership of TAF’s parent company, Arklyz Group, Asphaltgold will continue to operate their online retail platform throughout Europe and retail storefront in Germany.
The deal marks the next step in strategic growth for Arklyz Group and demonstrates plans to become one of the world’s leaders in the industry.
In particular, Arklyz aims to expand both brands globally and to continue their momentum as leaders in the specialty footwear space. Asphaltgold will utilize TAF’s global expertise and reputation to elevate the business.

The Athlete’s Foot sneaker and streetwear chain currently operates 550 stores and e-commerce shops in over 30 countries.
