When Ariana Grande isn’t wearing her signature eyeliner or stunning in a makeup-free selfie, she’s probably committing to a dedicated look. This time, it’s fairycore.
Ariana has done homages to ‘60s glam, RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant Vivacious, and her Wicked character Glinda. While she’s set to portray The Good Witch in the upcoming movie adaptation of the musical, her recent look seems to be dedicated to another mythical creature; a fairy.
Ariana joined in on the TikTok-viral fairycore trend and put her own twist on the niche style. She swapped the typical butterfly clips and bold hues for a new and unique fairycore look.
The r.e.m. beauty founder shared snaps of her intricate look by makeup artist Michael Anthony via Instagram. While Ariana wore a matte foundation and neutral eyeshadow look courtesy of the “principessa” midnight shadows eyeshadow palette in the photos, the simple base made the focal point pop even more. Ariana’s eyes were adorned with shimmering iridescent wings adorned with silver embellishments. No, we’re not talking about regular eyeliner wings but actual fairy-like wings. Fastened just above the crease of her eyelid, they hovered over her “eternally meowing” dream lashes in the ethereal photos.

Ariana and Michael finished the look with even more sparkle. The pop star wore the r.e.m. beauty interstellar highlight topper in the shade “miss mercury” on her cheekbones and nose. She also brought the glow to her lips with a cool-tone shimmery look using a combo of on your collar plumping lip gloss in “jelly sandals” and the practically permanent lip stain marker in “booked n busy.”
To complete the look, Ariana’s blonde hair was parted to the side (a controversial but fitting choice) and pulled back. She kept it simple with a little black dress and matching tights, which let the makeup shine even more.
Now that the fairycore trend has Ariana Grande’s stamp of approval, we expect to see plenty more fairy-inspired beauty looks. Lucky for us, Ariana and Michael shared the products they used for this look. So, if you’re planning on recreating it for yourself, scroll on to shop all the r.e.m. beauty.
