Keke Palmer—actor, singer, meme queen—recently turned up to the premiere of Lightyear in a sleek white dress with a feathered hem, and she looks absolutely radiant.
ICYMI, Lightyear is about the adventures of Buzz Lightyear, an adult man in the Pixar Universe whose likeness inspires the Buzz Lightyear toy Andy plays with in Toy Story. Voiced by Chris Evans, he’s, I dunno, a space ranger or something. And Palmer voices his fellow cadet Izzy Hawthorne.
For the film’s U.K. premiere at Cineworld Leicester Square on June 13, Palmer chose a bright white strapless gown by 16Arlington, which she paired with metallic heels and a chunky bracelet. If the piece looks a bit bridal chic, that’s because it is: The Minelli dress is from the brand’s bridal collection.
Palmer kept her makeup simple, adding a slight metallic sheen to her eyelids that complements the silver tips on her nails. She tied it all together with delicate diamond earrings, and swept her hair into an impressive woven bun.
This isn’t the first time Keke Palmer has rocked a feathered frock. She wore a related style—in black—to the 2019 Gotham Independent Film Awards. It even had a train!
Also starring in Jordan Peele’s upcoming Nope, Palmer wrote about Lightyear on Instagram: “Full circle moment y’all…I’ve been a fan of Buzz since the first time that I saw Toy Story.” She called the movie an “intergalactic experience” in a behind-the-scenes peek.
She’s also been making the most of the red carpets; she wore a totally space-age look to the movie’s world premiere, which actually had a purple carpet. She paired a colorful, aurora-borealis-looking sheer top with a sparkly blue skirt and highlighter yellow eyelids, shoes, and nails.
