Bloomie’s by Bloomingdale’s to open in Seattle
U.S. department store chain Bloomingdale’s is set to open on November 2 its Bloomie’s concept store in Seattle, in the heart of University Village, marking the retailer’s first brick-and-mortar presence in the market.
The Bloomie’s concept, already successful in Fairfax, VA, and Skokie, IL, will span 19,000 square feet over two floors, and is designed with flexibility in mind, allowing it to adapt to the ever-changing needs and preferences of the local Seattle customer base.
“The expansion to University Village represents the introduction of our Bloomie’s store concept to the west coast and we are thrilled to be present in the Seattle market,” said Charles Anderson, director of stores at Bloomingdale’s.
“Although this is our first physical storefront in the area, Bloomingdale’s already has an engaged customer base in the Seattle market. We look forward to welcoming those loyal shoppers, and new guests within the community, to our new location.”
The Bloomie’s store will feature men’s and women’s fashion tailored to local nuances in brand mix and product categories. Shoppers can expect a range of on-trend ready-to-wear and accessory brands such as Veronica Beard, Rag & Bone
The store will also boast an expansive shoe section featuring brands like BirkenstockVinceByredoMaison Francis Kurkdjian
One of the core aspects of the Bloomie’s ethos is its dedication to rotating pop-ups and trends, ensuring that the assortments remain specific and relevant to each location. Looking ahead, Seattle residents will have exclusive access to brands like SandroMaje
Bloomingdale’s currently operates 32 Bloomingdale’s stores, 21 Bloomingdale’s The Outlet stores, and two Bloomie’s stores in California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington.
In addition, Bloomingdale’s has an international presence with a location in Dubai and Kuwait.
