Nearly a year after Rihanna and ASAP Rocky were photographed filming a project together, the “D.M.B.” music video is finally here.
Back in July 2021—a few months after the couple went public with their relationship but well before the singer became pregnant with their first child—the pair were spotted in New York City smiling and clutching each other for some sort of video shoot. Despite the 81-degree weather in New York City at the time, Rihanna paired wide-leg brown pants, a leather corset, and a long brown leather and fleece coat. She topped off the look with a silk head wrap and gold jewelry. ASAP Rocky, on the other hand, was dressed in a black bomber jacket, boots, a trucker hat, and a pretty massive diamond ring on his finger.
At the time it wasn’t clear what the project was for, but now we know. In ASAP’s new music video, “D.M.B.,” which was released on May 5, Rihanna can be seen in that same outfit, along with a few others. In one shot, Rihanna is seen wearing a blue crochet bikini paired with a zebra-print coat and matching bucket hat. Not long after, she wears another crochet bikini, this time in pink, with a matching headscarf.
However, the climax of the video features Rihanna as a stunning bride in a red dress and matching red veil. When Rihanna smiles, she reveals a set of diamond grills that spell out “I DO.” Watch the video—and see all the looks—here:
Rihanna and ASAP Rocky were spotted kissing in Barbados in December 2020, and by May 2021 he referred to Rihanna as “the love of my life” in a GQ profile.
