While most of the country is still soaking up the summer sun, Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex and ultimate California girl, is already busting out the outerwear.
Photos published in Page Six show the ex–working royal out and about in Montecito, California, on August 11 wearing a Max Mara camel coat and a blue cashmere Hermès scarf. Meghan’s autumnal ’fit also included a cream-colored knit top tucked into white skinny jeans, black and beige slingback flats (Chanel, obviously), and an oversized white tote.
Meghan also wore another notable accessory, a NuCalm biosignal processing disc on the inside of her wrist. The small blue patch is meant to “accelerate the onset of the relaxation response, increase the depth of the experience, and prolong the physiological impact of Rescue, PowerNap, and FlowState,” according to the product’s website, and is recommended for emergency service workers like EMTs and doctors, active duty military, and professional athletes. And also stressed-out duchesses, it appears.

As usual, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are under the microscope, having just been through a highly public breakup with Spotify as well as a rumor mill speculating that their marriage is on the rocks. So maybe she needs a little biosignal assist at the moment while Harry is away in Tokyo for work and she’s at home with their two kids.
Or maybe she’s just cold.
