STREETWEAR – Mitchell & Ness, the Philadelphia-based sportswear and lifestyle brand, has announced the appointment of Nike executive Chris Bevans as its new chief executive officer.
Bevans, who most recently served as vice president of design for Jordan Brand, will be responsible for leading Mitchell & Ness’s global business and continuing to grow the brand’s presence in key markets around the world.
“Chris is a highly respected and accomplished leader in the sportswear industry, and we are thrilled to welcome him to the Mitchell & Ness family,” said Mitchell & Ness chairman, Kevin Wulff.
“His deep understanding of the market, combined with his proven track record of success, makes him the ideal person to lead Mitchell & Ness into its next chapter of growth.”
Bevans, a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, has over 20 years of experience in the sportswear industry. Prior to joining Nike, he held senior design roles at Reebok and Adidas.
At Jordan Brand, Bevans was responsible for overseeing the design and development of all Jordan products, including footwear, apparel, and accessories. He was also instrumental in the launch of several successful collaborations, including the Jordan x Off-White collection.
