Marcolin promotes Lara Marogna to group style and product development director

Marcolin has appointed a new group style and product development director. Lara Marogna joined the Italian eyewear manufacturer, owned by the investment fund PAI, twelve years ago. She arrived as a designer and rose through the ranks to become the group style director following the departure of her predecessor Alessandro Beccarini. Appointed to this position at the end of 2020, he preferred to leave to pursue other projects.

Reporting directly to CEO and managing director Fabrizio Curci, Lara Marogna “will be responsible for the management and development of the group’s eyewear collections, working closely with the creative departments and style offices of the brands in the group’s portfolio,” Marcolin said in a statement, adding that “the team led by Lara will have the objective of continuing the journey undertaken at creative level to optimise the potential of the brands in the various segments.”

The eyewear manufacturer, which in 2021 achieved a turnover of 455 million euros, oversees the eyewear collections of twenty-two brands, including Tom FordAdidasBallyMax Mara

Originally from Belluno, considered the world capital of eyewear, in the same Veneto region where Marcolin’s Longarone site is located, Lara Marogna has spent her entire career in this sector. A graduate in industrial design from the IUAV Ca’ Foscari University in Venice, she trained in applied arts first in jewellery and then in eyewear, starting her career at Marchon as a designer for Calvin Klein

Two and a half years later, in 2011, she joined Marcolin, where she continues to work as a designer for the MontblancMonclerZegnaSportmax
