The mobile experience uses augmented reality to help customers visualize how a pair of shoes will look on themselves from the comfort of their home or on the go.

Virtual Try-On for Shoes is available to customers in the U.S. and Canada using the Amazon shopping app on iOS and is compatible with a range of brands including New BalanceAdidasReebokPumaSupergaLacosteAsicsSaucony

To use the new feature, customers simply select a shoe, tap the ‘Virtual Try-On’ button on the product detail page and point the camera on their mobile device at their feet to see how the shoes will look on.

The technology allows customers to see how the shoe looks from every angle and offers a carousel to easily swap colors of the same style without needing to exit the experience. Finally, customers can take a photo of the experience to share the image on social media by clicking the “Share” icon.
