Falling in love with hardworking pieces is easier than ever with Everlane’s latest collection, which puts a modern spin on the capsule wardrobe with the introduction of three new silhouettes: An oversized blazer with shoulder pads, a lightweight trench coat that’s perfect for transitional weather, and a roomy pair of high-waist trousers. The basics brand routinely debuts seasonal styles, but don’t mistake this release for just any drop.
Everlane is hoping to give new meaning to uniform dressing by reimagining modern-day tailoring with a trio of staples that are as sophisticated as they are effortless to style. These include The ’80s Blazer, The Gathered Drape Trench, and The Way-High Drape Pant. All three pieces are available in black, an earthy camel, and slate gray, as well as a black-and-khaki gingham, and feel quintessentially Everlane, but with a twist. Sizes range from 00 to 20 for the blazer, XS to XL for the coat, and 00 to 16 for the bottoms. Prices run from $118 for the trousers to $175 for the blazer and $218 for the trench, which is on par with the rest of the brand’s lineup.
Each garment is an updated version of a previous best seller, explains Everlane CEO Andrea O’Donnell. “These pieces were inspired by our customers in their daily lives,” she says. “We know that many people are working in a hybrid model, and they want the ease of looking polished in a professional setting while also feeling comfortable for more casual days.”
We’ve loved the brand’s elevated basics for years now—its swimwear and leggings are favorites—but the new Everlane capsule might be its most exciting release yet. Like the majority of Everlane’s designs, the silhouettes are trend-proof but still feel on point for now. The vintage-inspired blazer looks like a thrift-store find in the best way. The trench is a stylish pick for chilly commutes and rainy days, and the trousers are a relaxed alternative to an otherwise fussy boardroom silhouette.
Worn together, these pieces are sharp enough to make you excited about refreshing your office wardrobe. Styled separately with clothes you already own (think jeans, leggings, a crisp button-up), they feel surprisingly down-to-earth no matter where the day, or evening, takes you. It’s also this versatility that makes these items so perfect for wearing on repeat without losing their luster from not being new anymore.
