Supreme opens first store in Seoul
New York-based streetwear label Supreme opened on Saturday its first store in Seoul.
Designed by Supreme’s longtime collaborator, London-based design studio Brinkworth, the store facade offers a skater-friendly sloped entryway in front of floor-to-ceiling glass windows.
Located in the Gangnam area, inside the 2,273-square-foot store is characterized by several giant murals including by artist Rita Ackermann, Weirdo Dave and pop culture references, from Lisa of Blackpink.
Other design elements include two speakers chained to the ceiling, custom-made by Brooklyn, New York-based speaker artist Devon Turnbull. The top two floors of the stand-alone building are the brand’s local office.
The opening comes a year after the brand made its China debut in collaboration with luxury multi-brand retailer Dover Street Market
