Despite oversized jorts taking center stage in 2023, Cabello stuck to her guns for the Iris Van Herpen Haute Couture show on July 3, pairing a pair of lavender hot pants with her completely sheer sculptural gown and gold platform pumps.
That same day Cabello did a quick costume change for the Giambattista Valli Haute Couture show, giving us a sultry underboob moment in a glamourous Barbiecore gown. Though she wore her hair up in a topknot for the first show, she let it down in loose waves while updating her beauty look with a more dramatic lash and glossy lip. She topped the outfit off with a hot pink bag, embracing the fashion world’s current obsession with all things Barbie while still referencing past looks with the dress’s bold cutouts.
For a moment, let’s return to the summer of 2022. A few days after pairing her denim short shorts with a boob hammock crop top at Coachella, she gave the unexpected silhouette a sexy, underboob-baring update at the Met Gala in a white Michael Kors gown. By February 2023 she was wearing a bra made of nothing but pearls to the Grammy Awards.
