The Princess of Wales seems to be making some updates to her usual wardrobe, and it’s working for me. Kate Middleton seems to be favoring high-powered suiting over dresses for her official visits lately, and now she’s traded her usual skinny pants for a slightly more modern wide-leg style. We love a style evolution!
On September 19, the princess looked C-suite-ready in a taupe power suit that matched a fitted blazer with a pair of long, loose-fitting trousers. She kept the monochrome look going with her pointed-toe pumps, which were visible just beneath the hem of her pants. She layered a crisp white tee under the jacket and, interestingly, seemed to skip jewelry altogether. Princess Kate was visiting the youth-focused charity Streets of Growth in London, per , an organization based on one she and Prince William visited in Boston.
The beige suit Kate wore to meet with workers at the charity is the latest of many business-formal looks she’s been seen in lately. Just a day earlier, per WWD, she wore a double-breasted blazer from Holland Cooper to visit the Royal Naval Air Station. Also in September the princess wore an oversized gray blazer with brown boots to visit a children’s “forest school,” and over the summer she played with a variety of colorful and neutral jackets.
Kate Middleton means business these days. Or at least her clothes do.
