Model Adwoa Aboah just demonstrated how to style one of the year’s biggest trends: the sheer dress. Ethereal draped silhouettes (quite literally) swept the runways at the spring/summer 2023 shows—a phenomenon we’re calling goddess beauty.
It was a key concept for Victoria Beckham, who debuted a series of diaphanous dresses in her collection, one of which was worn by Aboah to attend the premiere of Willow on November 29.
The model and British Vogue cover star—who fronted editor-in-chief Edward Enninful’s first ever issue in December 2017—floated down the red carpet in look 13 from the collection: a sheer icy blue dress made from gauzy material, with flowing sleeves, a low-cut neckline and a conceal-reveal cut-out on the hip.
While VB’s show looks were paired with minimal make-up, Adwoa Aboah put her own spin on the angelic dress with bright blue shadow—another runway trend this year—that made her eyes pop and lined lips. The model added flair with her chosen jewelry, too: a dazzling choker, a chain, and several earrings.
