Kate Middleton is becoming almost as well-known for her recent pantsuit looks as for her penchant for royal rewears, so it was only a matter of time before we started seeing her power suits make repeat appearances. I just didn’t expect to see the same suit twice in a single week.
This particular suit isn’t your basic black businesswear, either. This is a dark blue pinstriped suit from Holland Cooper with a double-breasted blazer and wide-legged trousers embellished with gold buttons, giving it an Al Capone-joins-the-navy feel. On September 29, the Princess of Wales wore the Holland Cooper set with a cream turtleneck to visit Apple CEO Tim Cook, per Then, a few days later on October 3, she wore the same suit with a white bodysuit blouse to celebrate the UK’s Black History Month with her husband, Prince William. (Of course, we had to find a few more affordable options that are a little easier to order stateside.)
We’ve obviously seen the princess recycle her favorite pieces before. Just recently she rewore a favorite bright red Zara blazer on another official royal visit. And before entering her Girl Boss era, she was known to favor the same few ladylike coat and shirtdresses for multiple public appearances. For me, frankly, anything Kate Middleton can do to further normalize outfit repeating for women is to be supported.
